A Note from The Publisher

Jan. 24-30, 2019

Hello, Mac Kid readers!

I hope you’re having a good week!

Between the extreme cold and the rain and the giant nothingburger-of-a-snowstorm, things have been a bit dreary lately.  If your kids are going stir crazy, then you‘ll be excited to check out this week’s newsletter, which includes an awesome GIVEAWAY from Flow, a local art studio in Irwin. My kiddo loves Flow and has taken art classes and summer camps there—and we think you’ll love it, too! Be sure to enter for your chance to win 2 free after-school art classes!

Speaking of art, there’s a fun article in this week’s newsletter about creating art with bubble wrap! There’s also an important article about teaching your kids how to call for help in an emergency. In addition, I've included my guide to local indoor fun, in case you missed it last week.

Finally, before we know it, summer will be here. If you run a summer camp or program (or know someone who does), you’ll also want to check out this info about the 2019 Summer Camp Guide! Get your camp listed and in front of Macaroni Kid’s 1,500 subscribers!

And don't forget--if you have any free or low-cost events you’d like to share with our readers, you can submit them here and I can add them to the Mac Kid calendar!

Have a wonderful weekend!
