Hi, I’m Meredith! I’m an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Registered Nurse and Certified Pediatric Nurse as well as mama to an adorable 2.5 year old toddler. My passion has always been babies. I was the little girl carrying around a baby doll constantly and pushing a stroller with my American Girl Doll in it. Remember “A Baby Story” on TLC? I watched every episode and I was only in middle school! Fast forward to adulthood and having my own baby, I developed a newfound respect for postpartum parents. A consistent and reliable support system for families while transitioning to new family dynamics and breastfeeding is imperative and I strive to be a part of that. So, it is no surprise to me that my nursing career led to this venture. I feel so blessed and appreciative I get to do what I love and am so passionate about.
I’m thrilled to be a part of Breastfeeding for Busy Moms in helping all breastfeeding mamas meet their goals in a way that works for them. Let’s face it, moms are busy! It’s my job to help you figure out a custom breastfeeding plan to make your life easier, which will only make this precious time with your child more enjoyable. I use a very realistic approach with individualized support. As an added bonus to our visits, our app has a “chat” feature that allows you to message me at any time and I pride myself in replying in a timely manner. There is also a HIPAA secured message feature where you can attach pictures and videos.
Don’t live in Morgantown? No problem! Most of our clients join me virtually. If you do live close, I would love to see your babies in our adorable office at the Seneca Center in Morgantown, WV.
I am here for you no matter where you are in your breastfeeding journey. Establishing care prenatally is a huge benefit. Knowing what to expect immediately after delivery and having me at your fingertips for expert advice will give you the assurance you need in those big moments. If you run into any issues in the hospital, I am one message, phone call or virtual visit away. I also specialize in breastfeeding issues that may arise no matter how big or small (in mom or baby), starting solids, pumping, mom returning to work, weaning and everything in between. I promise to support you, encourage you and empathize with you in this journey. Together, we got this!
If you have Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, or Cigna PPO (private insurance), you could get lactation consults covered at 100% no matter where you live. They will often even cover a prenatal breastfeeding education visit!
