Where to Go Sledding in Westmoreland County and Surrounding Areas

Let's hit the slopes in Westmoreland, County PA and Surrounding Areas

It's time to bundle up and go sledding! Here's an ongoing list of places to sled in Westmoreland County and surrounding areas.

1. Elizabeth Anna Peach-Bolish Winter Sports Area (Twin Lakes)

1200 Georges Station Road

Greensburg, PA 15601

Hours: Monday - Thursday 9 am - 8 pm

            Friday & Saturday 9 am - 9 pm

Info:  This is an unsupervised sledding and tubing area so enjoy at your own risk. There are three slopes, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. This area was created to promote wellness so there are no lifts to the top. Click here for the rules.

2. Keystone State Park

1150 Keystone Park Road

Derry, PA 15627

Hours: Dusk to Dawn

3. Ohiopyle State Park

124 Main Street

Ohiopyle, PA 15470

Hours: Dusk to Dawn 

Info: Ohiopyle is well known for its falls and white water rafting in the summer but there is fun to be had in the winter. In the Sugarloaf snowmobile and mountain bike area, a hill is maintained for sledding. Before you go you can check the park's winter report here.
